Acts as the primary person planning and directing the professional operation of safety and security management and government affairs.Operation Management• Leading and managing a staff team of over 1, 200 people across operational areas including traffic management, grandstand services, concert operations and management, command centre operations, pass issuing systems, quality assurance, and major events logistics Safety & Security• Developing and implementing BIC safety and security plans and policies and procedures• Briefing and educating BIC staff on various safety and security activities • Preparing and approving security plans for all major events in line with departmental objectives and targets • Ensuring that availability, expenditure and safety of the BIC's facilities are in line with targets and objectives • Developing emergency and contingency plans for management approval to deal with major and minor incidents i.e. accident, fire outbreak, construction accident and all cases affecting the safety of the BIC facility • Planning all major emergency response drills and ensuring that all staff are fully aware and are well trained in their respective responsibilities for such plans • Developing and maintaining the BIC’s Loss Prevention Program & planning timely regular studies on safety Government Affairs• Developing strong relationships with government ministries and other government agencies • Supporting, coordinating and implementing strategies with other departments to prepare for advance positions to achieve necessary governmental permits and permission for the company's products and / or events • Maintaining and enhancing a professional relationship with all government officials and community leaders Show less
