After completion of my Year in Industry placement, I continued my work with ETAS on a zero-hours basis during the final year of my degree. My work mostly involved maintenance of CI/CD infrastructure, systems administration, and improvements to tools and processes.

During my degree I completed a Year in Industry placement at ETAS, where I worked on a team responsible for an automotive middleware SDK. My activities involved writing and updating end-user documentation, maintaining a Virtual Machine-based Starter Kit including example applications and build/deploy tools, writing requirements and maintaining traceability infrastructure, developing software tests, maintaining CI/CD infrastructure, packaging SDKs into Windows/Linux installers, maintaining a test network for testing software on hardware targets, and integrating middleware with new hardware. This role also gave me experience working with the Agile methodology and tools, version control, and working remotely with colleagues around the world.
