I am a Ph.D. candidate in Interdisciplinary Social Research at Trent University in Canada. My research examines the barriers to successful entrepreneurship and the influence of intersectional identitites on the experiences of racialized women entrepreneurs. I aim to utilize a learner-centered approach that confronts biases and oppressive systems and offers strategies to help convert theoretical knowledge and approaches into pedagogical action.I have 15 years of experience in the social and educational sectors, working with grassroots organizations, non-profits, startups, entrepreneurship incubators, and higher education institutes. I co-founded a non-profit and a startup company focused on helping raise community awareness about local and global issues. My areas of professional expertise intersect curriculum design, interdisciplinary innovation, and entrepreneurial education with award-winning programs that have engaged thousands of students.
