I’m Dean, the Director for bespoke kitchen design company, Hinged UK.I am an extremely motivated individual, driven by those who I have met and learnt from within the kitchen industry. My passion for Hinged UK is a result of the individuals who have influenced, taught and encouraged me.Hinged UK offers a unique, design-based service that provide luxury and innovative contract kitchens and bedrooms. Fundamentally, I developed Hinged UK to provide a service to the contract market that is comparable to the service a retail customer who was purchasing a high-end, bespoke kitchen would expect.My experience within the kitchen industry stems from kitchen fitting in Spain, where I began my training in 1996. After continuing work as a fitter for the next five years, I moved back the to the UK, settling in Cornwall.I later attended college to study Technical Perspective Drawing and Draftsmanship. With my newly attained skills, I joined a small manufacturing company that specialised in bespoke kitchens where I gained skills in Sales and Management. I eventually went on to take over management for this company. Throughout my time here, I made it a priority to immerse myself within all aspects of the business including the groundwork, building, machinery and in-frame cabinetry to truly understand each component of the product.Following this, I went to work within the higher end, bespoke market, as a manager and Senior Showroom Designer where I stayed for six years.After leaving this role, I initiated Hinged UK.The experience and knowledge of the Hinged UK team has allowed the company to grow into a strong, leading presence within the luxury, contracts market.
