I have responsibility for the high level management, policy decisions and fraud management for the bus pass scheme. I also manage the relationship with community transport providers, developing voluntary travel network including community transport.I also oversee stakeholder engagement and the development and maintenance of appropriate Service and Performance Management and feedback systems for Passenger Transport Services. I work with the Public Transport Manager to embed new delivery models and drive up customer service and satisfaction. One of our key long term projects was Total Transport/Integrated Transport Unit. This was aimed at achieving stronger integration on the commissioning and delivery of transport services inside an outside of the Council. It required working across organisational boundaries to develop new delivery models.I also manage the budget for the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme in Cambridgeshire including reimbursements to operators and carry out budget projections during the financial year. The main aim of TfW is to achieve a modal shift in the way commuters travel to employment sites within Cambridgeshire, and the team achieves that by providing baseline surveys and support and advice with developing and delivering Travel Plans.A key part of my role was to develop an effective communication strategy to publicise the new LSTF TfW services and to recruit new members whilst generally raising awareness of local transport options. I developed procedures and processes specific to the LSTF project to award grant funding for infra structure projects and to record expenditure against project plans for delivery. I also oversaw the development of a performance monitoring system that was suitable to service indicators required by central government and also local stakeholders.
