As an independent strategist and consultant for STEM based projects. I develop creative strategies to increase diversity in all areas of STEM education and employment. I provide frameworks for change and build networks to facilitate that change. I support employers and educators to access the full talent pool and I support diverse individuals to access rewarding careers and opportunities. I have particular expertise in the area of Gender Equality and the promotion of Women into STEM. I have developed training materials; authored guidance publications and web pages; carried out training delivery; led mentoring schemes, work placement projects, and cultural change initiatives. In addition, I have worked on strategic initiatives for careers, Higher Education, Further Education, business and training organisations, local, regional and national government. I am a confident public speaker and event co-ordinator.My professional expertise includes both private and public sector roles. I have undertaken high level roles in industry, education and the not-for-profit sector. My career path includes employment as an Engineering Designer and Projects Manager, a Lecturer in Engineering, a Senior Lecturer in the FE sector, and an Independent Examiner and Moderator for Engineering apprentice EPA's giving me a detailed understanding of the challenges for both the STEM industries and education sectors.
