Mr. Klein is an accomplished executive & private equity investor with extensive ops, finance, and technical experience. He is facile in all elements of funding, organizing, and operating businesses: start-ups to $250MM in revenues. As a grad student, Klein coded large dataset analyses; thereafter he founded a software company developing, installing, and supporting general business applications for the world’s first mini/micro-computers. His team also developed the original minicomputer-based tax audit software for the State of New York. Klein sold the company’s software IP on exit. Klein then joined the world’s #2 computer company where, over the next nine years, he rotated across and rose vertically in the organization, managing different software business units in product management, customer support, and marketing. After exiting at a senior level, Klein went to Wall Street to monetize/leverage his tech industry connections and knowledge. Upon securing his securities licenses, Klein launched a hedge fund trading derivatives and technology stocks. For the next 5+ years, his fund's performance exceeded all relevant market indices and satisfied its most demanding members. Trading voluntarily ceased Q3/99 with all of his limited partners cashing out - richly rewarded. After winding down the hedge fund, Klein began investing privately in start-up & turnaround ventures: indoor sports arenas; ballpark food services; medical records software development and management; highly secure co-location data centers; ventures providing outsourced IT services to the health-care industry; a boutique investment bank ("IB") as well as an affiliated EB-5 Regional Center acting as the funding source for his IB's federally vetted EB-5 development projects. Klein currently runs a company that finances parts to the aero-derivative power generation sector.
