Responsible for the overall success of our CMa projects. During Preconstruction, oversees Owner and Architect/Engineer relationships; responsible for cohesiveness within the Project Team, assuring design proceeds in a timely manner and the Owner is heard and their needs are met. This includes initiating meetings, overseeing the development of the project schedule and budget as they progress during the different design phases, and keeping the Owner apprised of specifics of the project as it advances. Responsible for development of the Front End specifications of the contract documents, as well as bidder notifications, coordination of the Prebid Meeting, overseeing issuance of addenda, tabulation of bids, and presentation of bid results to the Owner. Once awarded, proceed with review and preparation of prime contract agreements and other required documentation. During Construction, responsible for tracking of budget and schedule, notifying the Owner of any changes in design or cost, and supplying monthly reporting reflecting same. At completion, responsible for ensuring that the project is complete, punch lists are finalized, closeout documentation is submitted, and contracts are closed out in a timely manner."Success is a project that is completed within the timeline and established budget, along with an Owner who is well-prepared to move forward as they occupy and maintain their new facility."

As Senior Project Manager, primarily responsible for managing and construction of K-12 educational facilities ranging from $6M to $30M. Responsibilities include preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, budgets, schedules and monthly cost projections and reporting.

Joined Fort Wayne Community Schools as Capital Projects Coordinator following the success of their May, 2012 Bond Referendum. Responsibilities involved working in collaboration with the Director of Facilities on the implementation, planning and development of the Pre-Construction Phase of their $119M Phase 1 Bond Program. The program involved replacing and improving components of the aging infrastructure at 26 of the corporation buildings, including ten major renovation projects involving seven design firms.

As President and Managing Partner of The Gibson Group, responsible for and oversees all aspects of the Project and Construction Management company. After an intensive period of Preconstruction, entered into the construction phase at the New Garrett High School, Garrett, IN, a $17M addition and renovation project on the Garrett Keyser Butler campus. Project was completed under an extremely tight schedule and budget and was finished on-time and within budget. Also responsible for the oversight and coordination of a separate Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract whose work progressed simultaneously with the construction of the new high school.

Responsible for over $340M in construction projects in the State of Indiana, all exclusively in the area of K-12 education. Worked with each client during the phases of preconstruction, construction and occupancy. Prior to the start of construction, focused on coordinating with the design team during critical preconstruction phase on issues of budget, design, value engineering, cost estimating, planning and sequencing of construction, phasing of activities within each building (if renovation project) to minimize disruption to students and staff. Coordinated all aspects of bidding, facilitating communication between the architect/engineer and the contractors, compilation of bids and bid documents and presentation to the Owner of all bid results. During the construction phase, in charge of all aspects of managing the construction of the project, including supervision of all on-site management personnel, comprehensive reporting to the Owner on the status of the project in areas of progress, scheduling and budget. At completion, worked with the Owner on close-out, completion of punch list items, procurement of all required warranty documentation, preparation of final budget reports, move-in and coordination of loose equipment delivery and set-up and technology systems start-up. Overall strengths: emphasis on planning for different construction phases; intense and close working relationship with the Owner to ensure a project that goes as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.

After a period of shut-down of this department by the Federal Government, was involved with recreating and revitalizing this program whose primary objective was the renovation and revitalization of targeted neighborhoods and upgrading the existing housing stock within those neighborhoods. Oversaw a staff of 12 individuals, coordinating all construction aspects of the program. During time in this position, also instrumental in establishing Neighborhood Code Enforcement, a subsidiary department established to monitor compliance with local building codes within those targeted neighborhoods.
