Under general supervision, assists in the administration of Official travel for employees, Users, guests and visitors. Help set up travel meetings, coordinate travel trainings, be the single point of contact for all service desk tickets for travel system users. Act as liaisons with the lab travel system users and provide hands on support on system related issues.Responsibilities may include the following:Duties and Responsibilities:• Assist in scheduling and coordination and execution of business travel arrangements consistent with established DOE and laboratory policies and the Federal Travel Regulations, and DOE Orders on Foreign Travel and Conferences and other applicable procedural and regulatory requirements.• Obtains specific approvals from DOE and Directorate for all official travel.• Provides direction to travelers and travel preparers regarding travel procedures and policies and regulations. • Act as Accounting Liaison – Provide a wide range of support services to the Accounting Department accounts payable duties, reconcile direct bill charges, setting up meetings, onboarding for new employees for the section. • Conduct training focused on travel program processes for travelers and arrangers. • Assist with passport and visa processing for business travel• Manage and prioritize service desk tickets on behalf of all system users• Develop strong internal working relationships with all departments.• Performs other duties as assigned.• Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
