I am a brand marketer and business transformation expert that is leveraging my experience through chief outsiders, to help midsize companies drive growth . I have worked at multiple companies leading business turnarounds and brand transformations. As Global CMO and and Senior Vice President at Principal Financial Group, a customer-focused Fortune 250 organization that helps businesses, individuals, and institutions achieve financial security and success, I oversaw a team of more than 100 talented professionals in areas including advertising, media relations, digital marketing, and sponsorships, as well as community relations, data analytics, multi-cultural marketing, research and business intelligence. In 2016, we re-launched the Principal brand to reflect the company's modern, connected, and deeply human approach to financial services; in 2018, our "We Can Help You Plan for That" campaign won a national Effie award. Prior to joining Principal in 2014, I served in senior marketing roles at Nielsen and General Mills. At Nielsens I was Global President of Segmentation and location services, and prior to that lead the Marketing effectiveness practice. While at GM I held key senior marketing leadership positions in support of strategic initiatives for the growth and success of various business units, including Progresso, Dry Dinners, and Wholesome Snacks. Before that, I held marketing and product management roles at Diageo, Wise Foods and Best Foods/CPC International. I'm passionate about volunteerism and serve on a variety of industry and charity boards. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, reading, biking, and skiing.
