Story topics ranged from the National Spelling Bee to the protests in Baltimore following Freddie Gray's death. I acted as a one-woman band video reporter and worked on enterprise projects and breaking news stories at the same time.

As a transportation and national security reporter, I covered issues facing Chicago's transportation systems including a new bomb screening program for the CTA train system, the effects of severe cold on the Metra commuter train tracks, and the conflict between Uber and local taxis. I also got the chance to cover pretrial hearings in the case of a local man who was charged with attempting to support terrorism. I completed video and written stories as a one-woman band.

This included filming interviews and b-roll, editing, and uploading to the web. Worked as a reporter for Carolina Week, a student-run weekly newscast at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This is a half hour news show airing in the greater Chapel Hill area and produced in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
