Managing Supplier Diversity components of assigned Food Service contracts by advocating the use and ensuring the increased participation of, Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs), Minority/Women Business Enterprises (M/WBEs), and Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) and in the food service industry.Working with clients to help identify and/or create both direct and indirect opportunities to do business with HUBs, M/WBEs, and SBEs Assisting food service vendors in doing business with our clients and other corporations.Supporting HUBs, M/WBEs, and SBEs with business development and mentoring. Working with the Women Business Enterprises National Council, the National Minority Supplier Development Council, local chambers and other community groups to identify food vendors and assist with their growth and development.Planning workshops and training sessions that provide information on how to do business with the Thompson Hospitality, our clients and the certification process. Providing clients with monthly and quarterly supplier diversity spending reports.Attending Quarterly Business Reviews to provide updates on diversity spend.Creating responses to proposals delineating how the established Supplier Diversity goals will be met.Encourage clients and their employees to explore different cultures through hosting Chef Tables, providing recipes and providing cultural information.Coordinating culinary staff to provide “Chef Tables” and culinary assistance to clients.

Advocating the use and ensuring the increased participation of Minority/women Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) and Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) in all aspects of procurement and contracting efforts.Participating in all phases of the selection process of vendors providing goods and services.Marketing the M/WBE program and the SBE internally and throughout the community.Disseminating information concerning business opportunities to M/WBEs and assisting such businesses in obtaining contracts and subcontracts. Participating in pre-bid and pre-construction conferences to explain M/WBE requirements and to respond to questions.Planning and participating in training seminars for the purpose of informing potential bidders of the M/WBE program and of contracting opportunities available.Investigating and determining eligibility with respect to applications for Minority/Women Business Enterprises certification.Maintaining an M/WBE and SBE data base containing over 900 MBEs. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records documenting M/WBE and SBE efforts and accomplishments using Excel, Enterprise Software and filing systems. Monitoring contractors and subcontractors' compliance with M/WBE and SBE commitments through the life of the contract with an annual average of 200 Capital, Major Maintenance and Professional Service contracts and projects.Mediating issues regarding M/WBEs and SBEs.Reporting spending with M/WBEs and SBEs. Serving as a liaison with economic development organizations and agencies working in support of economic development in the minority community.
