Sessions includes five days of comprehensive, unparalleled education through more than 6,000 presentations, with 2,000 invited faculty, and 4,000 abstract presentations; all from the world’s leaders in cardiovascular disease. In my role, I manage, plan, and direct preparations for the annual Scientific Sessions program content with volunteers, team, and vendors. Oversees all program management processes for Scientific Sessions - which include 9,000-10,000 abstracts (submission, review, and session building), the invited program of 1,500 speakers (submission, session building, invitations), Late-Breaking Clinical Trial submission and selection, and Late-Breaking Basic Science submissions and selection as well as other programs, such as case theaters, maintenance of certification learning sessions, etc. I also develop the final printed and electronic programs and am responsible for abstract publication in one of our journals. In addition, I am responsible for the Emerging Science Series - a webinar filmed in Dallas that showcases the latest peer-reviewed science with robust discussion.
