RN, BSN, WCC, (Wound Care Certified), CHT (Certified Hyperbaric Technologist)Responsible for the assessment of patients in an outpatient wound and hyperbaric center. Duties include taking vital signs, performing simple to complex wound care dressings such as the wound VAC from KCI and multi-layer compression wraps. Monitoring patients while receiving hyperbaric treatments in a monoplace chamber. We have 2 chambers and there are usually 1-2 staff members involved in the monitoring and care of about 6-8 patients daily. I coordinate care with home health agencies and DME companies.I am transitioning into the role of WOCN for the inpatient population. I now work both in the outpatient center and inpatient area as this position is developed.

Make daily assignments to staff.Quality Control audits.Assist director with employee evaluations.Patient Care including triage, assign and prioritize patients according to level of care needed, follow protocol for certain conditions for example obtain EKG and start IV for chest pain and initiate breathing treatments for asthma patients. Also patient teaching starting on arrival to discharge from the ER.
