I started making handmade soaps several years ago for my family. Handmade soaps and shampoos have the benefit of glycerin which is made during the soap making process. Glycerin attracts moisture to your skin and therefore moisturizes your skin naturally. Many of my family members made comments on how soft their skin felt after using my soaps and did not need moisturizers after showering with them.Our mission at Dolce Vita Bath Products is to make simple preservative and petrochemical free products. Our products include handmade soaps, skin and bath products. Our soaps and skin products are scented with essential oils, natural oils derived from plants. For example lavender, rosemary, lemongrass etc. We use only plant derived base oils like avocado, olive, jojoba, apricot kernel oil and butters like shea and aloe.As I developed more products I realized how unnatural many of our personal care and skin products are. "Natural" is a vague unregulated term you as a consumer must be aware and read all ingredient lists. Many contain drying petroleum products and frankly dangerous ingredients. Many commericial soap manufactures remove beneficial glycerin from their "soaps" and sell it to laboratories or cosmetic companies. Avoid products with parabens, alcohols or mineral oil which is a petroleum product.Specialties: Making natural soaps, skin and bath products. Educating consumers; teaching them to be aware of ingredients in our personal products we use every day.
