CurrentI am the assistant to the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education as well as responding positively to the community, parents, students.• Assist in preparation of reports and related department material.• Serves as a positive public relations advocate for the school district, including dissemination of school information.• Record and maintain information on all important documents sent out.• Compose and prepare correspondence.• Co-ordinates with Township Clerk for Annual School Election and any Special Elections.• Maintains District Policies.• Attends the meetings of the Board and takes minutes.• Makes arrangements for conferences and other official Board business.• Maintains accurate files and records.• Compiles board packet on BoardBook, copies, and distributes agendas and minutes for meetings.• Types, copies, and distributes reports, grants, and other correspondence.• Processes requisitions, purchase orders, and any other forms and requests pertinent to the office and/or the Board.• Act as an agent of the Board of Education.• Ensures the communication and interpretation of Board decisions and requests to staff.• Complete and submit REP report to CEPI twice yearly.• Prepare COBRA letters to employees.• Prepare correspondence relating to layoffs, recalls, and FMLA.• Assist in hiring process by preparing vacancy notices, maintaining application and interview information, processing related correspondence, criminal checks/fingerprinting materials, making reference calls, processing, and other related activities as required• Assist in collective bargaining agreement negotiations with Teachers, Support Staff and Food Service.
