Co-owned and managed small coffee and sandwich cafe. Trained and supervised staff of 4-7 people, completed daily tasks of cooking, making specialty coffee drinks, keeping track of inventory, ordering goods, paying vendors, counting and depositing daily cash draws, cleaning and closing front and back of house. Also responsible for assisting in timely completion and submission of local, state, and federal paperwork and payments along with electronic and paper record keeping of accounts. Tweaked menu for food and drink offerings, and collaborated in the planning and execution of special events (i.e. in-house live music evenings, local artist displays, booths at festivals, off-site coffeehouses ). Arranged donations of baskets and other offerings to benefit a local community arts center and various charitable organizations in the area.
