Community. Collaboration. Connectedness. Those three words describe what's important to me, and how I work. I've spent more than 20 years working with non-profit organizations, small businesses and individuals on the local, regional and national levels, helping them reach their goals and overcome challenges.I am passionate about building and improving the community and people's lives, in a positive and forward-looking manner.Even the title of my business embodies who I am and how I work - Envision It ("What are the possibilities?" "How can we achieve them?" "What are the steps we can take?") Together (I work in conjunction WITH clients, not FOR them. I put myself in their shoes and become invested in the outcome of what they want and need).Much of my work is writing (grants, articles, blogs, etc.) for clients and for myself. This is another avenue that allows me to share info that gives people information to help them to make positive changes in the community. My Twitter profile describes me well - I love to problem-solve, love to laugh, love to read, and love to learn.Specialties (including, but not limited to): Strategic PlanningBoard Governance (including roles and responsibilities)Board and Staff DevelopmentGrantwritingCommunications and Public RelationsSocial MediaCrisis planning/preparedness/communicationsSpeechwritingGhostwritingI also speak on these topics to small groups and classes at local institutions of higher education.
