About Beth Garcia
I am passionate about education,school choice, alternative learning models, phonic based reading instruction, teaching through hands on, multi-sensory and thematic curriculums all while installing a Christian foundation in our next generations.Experience: I always knew I wanted to be a Educator. I was the first in my family to graduate from a University; receiving a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I have taught in both the Lake Havasu and Catalina Foothills public schools districts. After having my own children, I began a private preschool, Little Fox Bilingual Preschool. When the pandemic hit I partnered with Prenda micro schools in order to fulfill a need for alternative learning models in my community. I ran my own microschool for three years serving students in grades K-5th. I am now excited to announce that I will be partnering with another educator as we create the first Christian school in our area, Arise Christian Academy. Background/Ministry: I was born in Santiago, Chile where my father was a missionary. I moved to the US at age 3. My family continued to serve in the ministry throughout my childhood. I now serve, alongside my husband, as ministers in our local church, United City Tucson.
