I love to teach and I love young people. I relate well with them and am good at motivating them to learn. I differentiate for individual learning differences and am able to reach 99% of my students! I also am a capable adult teacher, having taught English as a 2nd Language to adults as well as numerous church classes. I am a hard worker in whatever job I am asked to do, and I play by the rules. I am honest and supportive of those with whom I work.I retired from full-time teaching with Houston ISD and am now available for SUBSTITUTE TEACHING and TUTORING, as well as PROOF-READING AND EDITING (in both English and Spanish). I also have experience TRANSLATING English/Spanish brochures, letters, and other written matter. I have tutored all levels of Spanish, from beginning through Level 5AP. For 10 years, I taught high school AP Spanish IV and prepared many students for the AP Spanish Language Exam. I've also taught beginning French and all levels of English/Language Arts from 7th through 12th grades. I have excellent grammar and spelling! I find myself correcting newscasters and other speakers and writers all of the time!One more skill: I am also an experienced GENEALOGIST, having researched all branches of my family as well as having traced the ancestry of other friends and family. In Houston, we have the second best Genealogical Library in the country. Clayton Library is second only to the Mormon Library in Utah!
