My clinical background has paved the way for me to grow professionally and find my true passion, which is learning & development. I am proficient in both facilitating and course development. I have implemented microlearning for our corporation in the form of weekly emails titled 'Tuesday Tips'. The emails go out to all employees communicating a tip or training tidbit based on the trending common questions we receive. I am constantly looking for new ways to share education with our adult learners so that they feel confident and proficient with the medical software. My duties include: Conduct analysis to determine training needs for healthcare software, develop and conduct NextGen skills training.Organize and develop training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials. Maintain records and prepares statistical reports to evaluate effectiveness of training programs.Translate workflow strategies into training materials and job aids.Proof drafts of training materials created by the team to ensure consistency.Coordinate training schedule and agenda with practices to properly execute the required training.Develop testing and evaluation procedures to be used during training.Create eLearning courses.Provide microlearning for continued education and information retention.Lead team of software trainers so that the education provided by all training personnel to the end-users is consistent.Stay up to date and current with the latest, most effective adult learning techniques, practices and theories.Maintain HQM portal for ACI/Meaningful Use reporting.Stay informed of most current ACI/MU changes and updates in order to communicate any changes.Complete successful ACI/MU attestation by the deadline.Work with appropriate departments to complete any ACI/MU audits to submit information in a timely manner.

I continue to grow in my role as Senior Trainer with American Health Network, Part of Optum. I continue to refine my remote learning facilitation skills. I have experience using Zoom as the delivery platform as well as Microsoft Teams.In addition to facilitation, I develop and create training guides and documentation for end-users. I am proficient using SnagIt, Microsoft Word, Publisher and PowerPoint for written documentation and Camtasia and Audacity for video instruction. Two qualities I am always working to improve are my attention to detail and my desire for consistency. Both contribute to effective and straightforward documentation training plans.Another skill I am honing is instructional design. I participate in training intake interviews and training plan development meetings. I am also excited to say I design eLearning courses. In addition to the extensive experience I have with SnagIt, Camtasia, PowerPoint and Audacity as listed above, I also have experience with Adobe Captivate and Articulate 365. Currently, I use Articulate when creating courses and while I am not yet an expert, I strive to be.I feel the combination of my clinical background, my natural curiosity and my artistic talents makes me the perfect person to create and deliver training of all kinds, especially software training. It is definitely a passion of mine that continues to grow.

I provide end user support as well as stay well educated regarding Meaningful Use as to keep our team and our users up to date with the most current MU information. Creating documentation is right in my 'wheel house'. I create and maintain CBL modules for our end users to supplement face-to-face training sessions. I also create training quick tips for EHR, PM, and Meaningful Use. In addition to creating the training documentation, I also maintain our monthly IT Resources newsletter.

Cardiology

I assisted the physician with every patient seen in office by taking down the information during the visits. I also worked closely with the physician to make sure all patients were well taken care of, nothing fell through the cracks, and each patient felt as if they had our full and complete attention. I assisted the provider in carrying out his orders as well as communicated clearly and efficiently between the patients and the physician.I served as back up for the stress test technician to be able to fill in and assist our Nuclear Technician when the stress test tech was out of office. I attended an EKG class to be able to better recognize abnormal findings on an EKG.I assisted with maintaining our device clinic.I hooked patients up on Holter monitors and other cardiac monitors ordered by our physicians. I was able to fill in at any position in the office that did not require special additional certification.I also did many administrative tasks such as maintain the on-call schedule for all of the physicians and nurses for each hospital our providers went to. This was maintained with each person's schedule as well as with the on-call company. I served as EHR Superuser and attended regular superuser meetings in order to remain knowledgeable in recommended EHR practices so I can communicate and train my coworkers.

Worked as the primary medical assistant for two of the physicians in the practice. I communicated with the patients and worked closely with both physicians to provide the best medical care to their patients. I maintained their patient charts, documented patient communication, completed prior authorizations, took xrays, performed PFT's, and much more.
