Over 19 years of experience in the field of information technology management. Responsible for directing all professional activities associated with the financial management, budgeting, business analysis and financial planning for agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, NASA, Dept. of Energy, and various agencies within the Dept. of Defense. Financial management includes experience in managing general accounting, budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and sales; extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and cost accounting principles. Direct all financial activities of the organization. Prepare or direct preparation of reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings, based on past, present and expected operations. Establish, or recommend to management, major economic objectives and policies for company subdivision. Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions. Direct financial planning, procurement and investment of funds for the organization. Analyze financial records to forecast future financial position and budget requirements. Advise management on investments and loans for short and long-range financial plans. Review data regarding material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income and expenses. Direct and coordinate activities of personnel responsible for formulation, monitoring and presentation of budgets for controlling funds to implement program objectives. Consult with unit heads to ensure adjustments are made in accordance with program changes in order to facilitate long-term planning.
