During my time as a freelancer I have worked on numerous projects, including:• A personal essay included in the New York Times bestselling Garden & Gun magazine "Good Dog" essay book published by HarperCollins in October 2014.• Main contract editor for book focusing on psychotherapy theory.• Produced and edited stories and took photographs about numerous subjects including academics, business and travel for publications such as the Carolina Alumni Review and Wexford House Books.• Produced marketing materials for businesses and nonprofits, including pieces written for Signal Hill public relations firm and a ghostwriting project with PFB Connect.• Finalist in 2012 Doris Betts Short Story contest.

• Maintained website and social media channels. Led digital and social media strategy for this amazing organization, which included: posting across all social platforms, as well as writing original content pieces, producing multimedia features, serving as web master, producing graphics, creating media pitches and doing whatever else it took to promote the NC State University-based policy think tank’s vision of a better North Carolina for all the state’s citizens. Co-produced a weekly podcast with thought leaders from throughout the state! Created monthly digital newsletter for an audience of over 20,000. Also led publicity and communications efforts of workshops and forums, including a civic engagement-focused forum attended by over 400 people. (Created a hashtag during this forum that trended #1 that day in the Raleigh-Durham area. Also produced an original op-ed published by the N&O to market the event. Led the branding for this forum, as well as the three-year series of subsequent forums it kicked off across North Carolina.)
