The Benjamin Rush Institute aims to unite medical students, residents, fellows, and doctors across the political spectrum — as well as members of the general public — who believe that the profession of medicine calls its practitioners to serve their patients, rather than the government. We believe that the physician-patient relationship is a voluntary and mutually beneficial one. Both parties have a right to enter this relationship freely. The proper role of government is to protect this freedom, not to diminish it.

The Dr. Joseph Warren Institute is a 501c4 dedicated to preparing medical professionals to effectively participate in the American political process. Doc Squads (TM) is its flagship project to recruit and train doctors to speak knowledgably on President Obama's health care law and to offer practical alternatives that protect freedom of choice for patients and doctors.

Working with individuals to identify and achieve their goals in health and wellness from a holistic, functional medicine perspective which includes nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, personal relationships and community.

The purpose of the Black Ribbon Project is to call attention to the multiple ways that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act undermines our freedom, erodes our prosperity, and interjects politics into the private and intensely personal decisions which properly belong to physicians and patients.

UPSA formed with the purpose of bringing together physicians from multiple political viewpoints, but united in their concern over the trends in medicine which have allowed and even invited the intrusion of third party control over the patient-doctor relationship. UPSA sponsored the Summit at the Summit conference at Keystone, CO in July of 2015, creating a platform for physicians to gather and create a path forward for American medicine. UPSA continues in its mission to unite doctors and patients in exploring ways to improve access to quality medical care for all Americans.UPSA disbanded in October, 2018 when the board decided the organization had fulfilled its initial mission, and resources and efforts were better spent elsewhere.
