Interacted directly with CEO regarding product development and special projects. Travel to and from New York City to work with a swatch development company, Knit Resource. Programming utilized a CNC machine language. Also responsible for scheduling, sampling development and production orders.

Dalton Industries, Inc.– Knit Fabric Technician / Programmer for national sweater manufacturer of high fashion women’s wear located in Willoughby, OhioResponsible for research and development of knit swatches and sweaters for four production seasons throughout the year. Developed finished garments from designer concepts and performed fabric interpretation from sketches and drawings. Supervisory responsibility for a three shift operation with a staff of eleven operators and mechanics. Calculated knitting yields and estimated damages, knitted sample and prototype garments, trained knitting operators in quality control, and developed programs for fabric designs for both Stoll and Dubied electronic knitting machinery. Interpreted design concepts and developed production fabrics, projected profitability on specific fabrics based on production time and damage percentage, established production schedules for electronic flat knitting machines and responsible for majority of all sweater knitting production, developed and maintained procedure manual for knitting operators and mechanics, reduced production time for flat knit fabric through innovative programming, consistently met production deadlines, implemented an effective maintenance program, and interacted with various managers to reduce garment construction costs. Attended Stoll Knitting Machine School in Reutlingen, Germany and Dubied Knitting Machine School in Elmsford, New York for educational training. In-service training included operation of Jet II knitting machines, and programming and operation of electronic knitting machine CNCA 3BM with first in class honors.
