Beth Jackson is a Manager and Senior Scientific Advisor in the Health Equity Policy Division in the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). She completed a PhD in Sociology (York University, Toronto) and a post-doctoral fellowship on health services reform and equity. She has worked in public health and health equity for over 30 years, with a focus on marginalized populations (e.g. street-involved sex trade workers and trafficked youth, and 2SLGBTQ+, racialized, and Indigenous populations). Since joining PHAC in 2007 through the Recruitment of Policy Leaders Program, Beth has led interdisciplinary teams devoted to strengthening evidence, policy and programs through work on social determinants of health and health equity.
