Professor of Television and Media Studies. PI of AHRC-funded research grant 'What's on? Rethinking class in the television industry' (2023-2026), in partnership with BBC, Channel 4 and Candour Productions. Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures, University of Leeds. Former Head and Deputy Head of the School of Media and Communication. Skilled in public speaking and communication, academic leadership, research, external partnership building, financial planning, operational leadership, University teaching, and qualitative research. I am Chair of MeCCSA Women's Studies Media Network and a Principal Co-Editor for the Journal of British Cinema and Television.I am a consultant for the Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity and a member of the AHRC Peer Review College. I am an External Examiner for the University of Sheffield.
