CurrentI am a self employed Certified Residential Appraiser with over 26 yrs of appraisal experience in Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore of Va. In addition, I received my Real Estate Sales License in 2006 and prior to becoming an appraiser, I worked in the mortgage section of Navy Federal Credit Union as a mortgage processor/closer.Having this well rounded real estate experience has definitely been advantageous to me as an appraiser. It has given me a good understanding of what the mortgage underwriter is looking for when reviewing appraisals as well as the importance, challenges and complexity of the agents role in the transaction. In addition to performing appraisals for lenders, I also offer pre-listing appraisals to agents and owners; and I have completed many appraisals for use in divorces, estates, bankruptcy and fraud. During my career I have also been called to court as a professional witness relating to real estate disputes. I enjoy my work as an appraiser and take pride in providing fair, articulate and honest appraisals. I welcome and appreciate the challenge of unique and/or complex properties.
