About Beth Knotts
I have over twenty-five (25) years of experience in the oil and gas industry. I have close to eleven (11) years in-house with the same company. Throughout the years, I have been lucky enough to work in oil and gas in multiple positions and have gained experience in many areas. It is honestly very difficult for me to narrow down all these years into an acceptable one to two-page resume. An overall account of my experience includes abstracting, reviewing title, determining defects and curative for third party transactions, doing production checks, reviewing and understanding leases / farm outs / term agreements / JOAs / etc, and interpreting ambiguous language in early conveyances in both West Virginia and Pennsylvania. I am also very capable when it comes to working with historical mapping, farm maps, coal maps and deed plotting. In addition, the positions I have held required working closely with other departments, such as GIS, IT, the Land Dept. and Land Administration, to ensure data is correct and that all reports and functionality required are available. I also have experience managing multiple abstractors and interviewing/training/overseeing co-workers. I have created and given multiple presentations to all field offices within the company to train everyone on our systems and process. I have been involved in creating these processes and certain aspects of the in-house systems to cater to every department within the company, including in-house mapping, onboarding of newly acquired assets, etc. Most importantly, I love my work. I love oil and gas. My entire family works in the industry and its a way of life.
Listed skills include Energy Industry, Natural Gas, Title Opinions, Petroleum, and 44 others.

I requested all necessary wellbore title, made sure any lease mods were executed and recorded, did the production checks and made notes in our system for the landman, attorneys and techs to refer to. I then, drafted the curative memo and made sure the file and all curative was complete and that it was ready for attorney signoff. After attorney signoff, I made sure the file was scanned into the system and filed for later unit work.
