This has been a great opportunity for me because it has allowed me to use all my strengths in time management, sales planning, and new account development to drive revenue growth in an eight state territory covering Virginia, North and South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. I travel extensively to meet with customers, make product presentations, and locate potential new sales opportunities. My accomplishments and responsibilities include:• Increase sales for the flatglass and energy efficient coatings division by implementing aggressive new business development efforts, calling on architects/contractors, selling the advantages of products, and closing deals for commercial construction projects.• Generated an immediate sales impact by achieving 140% of quota in 2011 with 152 projects valued at $10.5 million.• Produced strong 2012 sales of $7.2 million with 157 projects which was 125% of annual quota. • Achieve results in a price sensitive market for one of the most expensive product lines in the industry by selling product benefits over low-priced competitors.• Travel 90% of the time throughout the large geographic territory to schedule meetings with key players in different markets and increase the company’s market presence in the region. • Continue to build a steady pipeline of new business while simultaneously managing a long, complex sales cycle from initial contact through project tracking and finalizing the deal.• Produce new sales leads through active participation with industry partnerships and organizations including American Institute of Architects, Construction Specifications Institute, and others.• Expand PPG's product awareness by speaking at regional/local conferences on a regular basis to groups of up to 100 industry professionals. • Provide Continuing Education Accredited Seminars to maintain PPG’s reputation as the industry leader.
