Much of my work has been centered around transgender teens and +2SLGBTQ individuals & families. As a therapist, I work best with queer and transgender humans trying to navigate life with childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem that often lead to a need to explore one's identity. This experience is not dissimilar to the experiences of neurodivergent individuals who have lived their lives behind a mask of ableism and may not be sure of who they are, now, in adulthood. In my work with these individuals I have learned that there is a unique intersection - neurodivergent adults and adolescents are 8 times more likely to identify at part of the LGBTQIA+ communities.I feel deeply passionate about helping clients cultivate a grounded, emotionally intelligent, abundant life. Therapeutically, my approach is based in acceptance and authentic curiosity + compassion, guiding and providing insight from a decolonized lens. I am currently working towards a certification in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through Polaris Insight Center. I practice assisting clients with psychedelic preparation and post-integration sessions for KAP and those who are processing the deeper meanings derived from personal mystical experiences. ---------------------During my first semester in graduate school, I noticed a gap in academic and professional development resources provided to Marriage and Family Therapy students. This prompted the creation of @MFT_StudentServices, an Instagram community where Marriage and Family trainees, associates, and therapists can find theory overviews, study guides, information on affiliations with professional organizations, and more!
