About Beth Martinez (She/Her/Hers)
As the Education Director for the New York State Capital Office of ADL, I design, manage, and implement anti-bias and DEI programs for K-12 schools in upstate NY. I also oversee our school climate equity program, No Place for Hate, which reaches hundreds of schools across the state. Through our programs, we work with all school community stakeholders, including students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community members, to foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and diversity.With over 12 years of experience in education, I am passionate about empowering educators and students to challenge bias, discrimination, and hate in all forms. I have a strong background in content creation, teacher mentoring, and facilitation, and I hold certifications in Elementary Education, Special Education, and English Language Arts. I also volunteer my time internally at ADL to help create a more inclusive and equitable workplace, by serving on committees, joining employee resource groups, and facilitating learning sessions on various topics related to identity, allyship, and awareness.
