BBC presenter and reporter. After starting out in radio on the other side of the microphone - being interviewed as a musical artist -I was offered the opportunity to present Monday evenings on BBC Radio York - a show aimed at 18-25 year olds.I found that I was able to use the performance skills that I acquired as a musician to create my own presenting style and, with my knowledge and love of music, being a radio host quickly felt like the perfect fit. I tell my stories through songwriting. Now I get to tell other peoples stories through radio presenting! In my 18 months at BBC York I've concentrated on helping tell the stories of those who's stories don't often get heard.I've hosted live events/outside broadcasts, reported on local stories, helped produce programmes by recording/editing audio, worked on my journalism skills and mastered getting up early enough for a breakfast shift.
Listed skills include Audio Editing, Outside Broadcast, Social Media, Audio Recording, and 9 others.
