I had a fantastic summer working with the Production Leaders in the Precision Casting Facility. I learnt a huge amount about lean production, I achieved a Yellow Belt in 5S and gained a great understanding of the casting manufacturing process.

I worked on several projects in Operations, Sales and Quality. At the end of the placement I reached the semi-final of the Year in Industry Contribution to Business Awards and had to present to a panel of industry experts.- Under the Operations Director, I worked on a three month project aimed to improve the storage and life-cycle of AM powder.- Designed and built a new data capture system for Sales.- Assisted in projects with PPAP and procurement in Quality.- Completed a three day Leadership and Management course.- Learnt a working knowledge of VBA, Solidworks and Catia.
