Artistic Director And Chief Curator Of Exhibitions And Collections
Current• Lead Curatorial department, overseeing strategic planning, exhibitions, collections, interpretation, programs, committees, and budget• Actively engage communities while piloting FCM’s creative direction • Develop, maintain, and activate permanent collection of 1600+ objects, including outdoor sculpture gardens and collection-based temporary exhibitions • Supervise team of three full-time employees, plus volunteers, interns, and contract employees • Manage annual department budget exceeding $250,000 • Work collaboratively with Director, Board of Trustees, and Exhibition, Collection, and Strategic Planning Committees to execute organization’s mission and ensure institutional growth • Build relationships with collectors, donors, community stakeholders, curators, and other professional organizations to advance organization through strategic collaborations • Amplify the voices of regional, local, and international artists through exhibitions, collection, educational programs, commissions, and special projects • Cultivate relationships with collectors and sponsors to secure major gifts • Create virtual and in-person events to deepen audience engagement with curatorial programming • Regularly appear in TV, radio, print, and digital media outlets to promote museum and exhibitions • Represent FCM through national and international conferences, lectures, guest curating, jurying, and published writings
