IAFP is a local non-profit organization that employs 10 individuals but has a membership as large as 3,400. This includes organizations, food companies, and universities all trying to share information about keeping our food protected from bacteria. This is done through workshops, publications, journals and an Annual Meeting offered to members worldwide. As an accounting assistant, I worked alongside the senior accountant and many other departments. I turned a part-time position into a full-time position by offering my services to many other departments. Pinkerton installs CCTV, access control systems and alarm monitoring for large corporations in the Portland, OR area. I worked under the Area Operations Manager and was the only full time office employee to do internal bookkeeping. I also worked as a go-between for the employees in the branch and corporate headquarters on HR issues.
