I worked the commercial window at the bank drive up, assisting our commercial customers with deposits, change orders, and transactions.

As Lead, I helped train new employees, reviewed documents for accuracy, resolved customer issues, filing, stepped in for managers in their absence. Additionally I answered phones, posted bonds, took payments for tickets, balanced receipts daily, enrolled citizens in driver improvement school, dismissed tickets as allowed, data entry, used faxes, copiers, printers. I tried to keep things light, there was a lot of stress related to our work. As an example, people would frequently complain about getting parking tickets for parking in their yard at home. They would say things like, 'its my yard, I should be able to park there.' Even though city ordinances said they couldn't. As they came in upset, we were generally on the receiving end. To help defuse our stress I came up with saying "Well you can't commit murder in your yard, just because its your yard" It helped everyone I was working with to get a chuckle and not take things personally. Also as Lead, I would step into a situation when the customer service rep was having a difficult time with an angry customer and take over the situation. Generally just talking to someone else would help smooth things over, and resolve things as best as I was allowed for the circumstances. Then I would talk to the CSR and make sure they were ok and not stressing about a situation they had no control over.

My daughter and I took foster kittens in until they were ready for adoption. Great experience! Loved doing it.
