Splunk administrator assisting in design, development, and implementation of an enterprise-wide Splunk environment, supporting both hardware and software applications as well as their associated operating systems and databases. Working on consolidating three legacy Splunk environments into one unified Splunk environment. The unified Splunk environment supported currently consists of 150+ indexers and 40+ search heads, along with thousands of Universal Forwarders ingesting data into Splunk.

Senior Application System Administrator• Devise, implement, and administer enterprise applications across HP, Sun, Linux/Unix, and Windows OS platforms residing among dev, test, uat, and production environments in high-availability modes. Supported applications include AutoSys (WAAE 11.3), IXP, WCC, EEM, JAWS, ACCE, MoveIt, Databases utilized with applications are Oracle, SQL, and Postgres. • CA User Group president for Colorado. Work in conjunction with CA to conduct bi-yearly onsite sessions with local business also utilizing CA automation tools.• Conduct quarterly User Group sessions with internal development teams sharing application features, enhancements, best practices, and product road maps.• Additional roles include Incident Management, Data Center Hardware installations, Disaster Recovery

Build, deploy, and manage nodes, organizations, and cookbooks within Chef along with Ruby code. System administration of PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) conducting installation, upgrades, build pack deployments, bosh deployments, etc. Additional tools include Jenkins for CI/CD management; VMWare for server provisioning; JIRA project tracking/ticketing. L3 System Administration supporting Unix/Sun/HP platforms as needed including rotation on-call support.

Supported multiple serviced accounts in the Data Center. Duties included monitoring of production environments, break/fix production support and escalation, change management, and DR testing and analysis. • Lead support on an outsource project inherited by IBM, moving their Data Center processes from Minneapolis back to IBM, Boulder.
