My duties and responsibilities for this included:- Working within the theatre team alongside surgeons, anaesthetists, ODP's and nurses to deliver the best care to each patient.- Ensuring the efficient running of theatre services.- My role included the Internal rotation in practice through theatres, anaesthetic, scrub and recovery to allow personal development and the smooth delivery of service.- I carried out daily cleaning of the theatre area and Scrub Room including all furniture and specialised equipment.- I also monitored and maintain stock levels of materials and equipment in each theatre.- I would collect and identify patients for operative procedures and support them whilst in the Anaesthetic Room prior to surgery. A key role was to ensure all relevant information was recorded on the computerised patientinformation sheet and complete any documentation necessary for nursingrecords.
