I have over 30 years of experience working directly with diverse populations of young children and families in a variety of settings such as community day care, private home, community education, community preschool, public school and virtual platforms.I believe that parents are a child's first and most important teacher and that early childhood education is essential for further school success. I believe that children learn best in an environment that offers developmentally appropriate practice in all areas of child development where learning takes place both child directed and teacher initiated.I am an advocate for young children's individual needs and a successful family communicator. As an educator, I first focus on establishing a nurturing, positive relationship with each individual and the development of social/emotional skills. I'm grateful to have had several opportunities to mentor colleagues and others who are just entering the early childhood education industry during my career.
