I am a highly skilled and caring psychologist and therapist. I am very action-oriented and thrive on moving clients ahead as quickly and effectively as possible. Counselling, psychological assessment & treatment, and speaking are definitely my areas of expertise and passion. It gives me great satisfaction to see people walk into places of wholeness and victory as they participate in the counselling process with me. I have also been privileged to walk numerous clients/patients into full recovery from their eating disorders. I am definitely a giver of hope! My husband Glenn Scheideman and I have been blessed to grow Fresh Hope Counselling into a full-service counselling clinic. We have eight skilled Therapists on staff and one Registered Dietitian/Eating Disorders Specialist. Along with my expertise in Eating Disorders and Chronic Pain, we are able to work with a wide array of clients, from ages 5-105, individuals, couples and families. We have two office locations -- one on the West End and one on the South Side.One unique aspect of my practice, Fresh Hope Counselling, is its delivery method. At least it used to be prior to the pandemic! Counselling services are offered in office, as well as videoconferencing through a secure medical platform or by telephone so that sessions can be accessed where needed. This makes it incredibly easy to have an appointment with me, in the privacy of your own home or work office. Business professionals and students have commented on how helpful it is to have sessions this way -- they just close their office door and have a session without needing to drive anywhere or use up more than an hour of their time. Anxious clients and those with pain/mobility issues also tend to prefer the videoconference appointments in the comfort of their own home.
