Volunteer on the Planning Committee (of six) for the Expressions of Hope Gala benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana. Solicit sponsors, auction items, ticket sales, and advertising and marketing opportunities to showcase this wonderful event. Each year, over 330 people from the medical and business community, community leaders, and supporters come together and indulge in a night of scrumptious food, an array of libations, dance to live music, bid on amazing live and silent auction items, all while raising funds to support the mission of the EFKY. The EFKY leads the fight to defeat epilepsy and works tirelessly to provide help, hope, and support to the more than 153,000 children, adults, and veterans living against with epilepsy and seizure disorders in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Proceeds from the gala support vital educational, advocacy, outreach, support, and veteran services, which are all designed to improve quality of life, overcome the myriad of challenges and heartbreaking consequences, in hopes to find a cure for epilepsy.
