I felt that I had a strong positive impact on the teenage special education students. Most were diagnosed as autistic, and some others dealt with learning disabilities stemming from Down's syndrome. I worked with classroom teachers who taught 6th and 8th grade to supplement the learning resources in the classroom. I worked with students individually and in small groups to provide more individualized instruction in key educational objectives.
