Lead a 5-week, summer session Global Health and Physiology Study Abroad Program at NC State. In this program, we travel to rural Belize and work with International Service Learning to conduct free medical clinics for those without routine access to medical care.

As Director of Graduate Academic and Professional Development programs at NC State, I am a part of the Preparing Future Leaders (PFL) team. I work with two future faculty development programs, including the nationally-recognized Preparing the Professoriate (PTP), and the Mentor and Teaching Practicum (MATP). I also coordinate the Professional Development Seminar series, which work to equip graduate students with skills in leadership, developing their brand, preparing for their career, and finding balance. Teach one-semester, engaging, integrated Anatomy and Physiology course through Campbell University's Department of Biological Sciences.

I worked to develop and run the Research PackTrack Program at NC State, a program designed to immerse undergraduates in an authentic research experience, preparing them for research careers.

My PhD work centered around gastrointestinal physiology, with specific interest in the mechanism behind stress-induced gut diseases. I worked with large animal models, rodent models, and primary cell culture.
