I have a diverse academic background from studies in Landscape Management at BYU and Plant Pathology at UCR. My current research primarily focuses on the Huanglongbing Pathosystem, leveraging multi-omics profiling to dissect potential tolerance mechanisms. I am also researching nematophagous fungi with potential for biological control applications.I have enjoyed a role as an educator both as a teaching assistant in microbiology lab courses and later instructing a course in microbiology at UCR. I have gained extensive experience in various programming languages including Bash, R, Python, and LaTeX while doing bioinformatic analyses for my research. Through the development of numerous workflows and customized scripts, I have conducted transcriptomics, genome assembly and annotation, microbiome analysis, and more. My work has been recognized with several awards and fellowships, including the GAANN Fellowship and Loma Verde Ranch Scholarship.
