Beth Pearson is Chief of Staff in the office of Senator Elizabeth Warren. She previously held roles as Senator Warren's legislative director and as an advisor on health and economic policy issues. From 2015-2016, she served as an American Sociological Association/AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow in Senator Warren's office. She holds a PhD in sociology from the University of California-Berkeley, where her research focused on taxes, federalism, and social policy. Beth received a B.A. in Political Philosophy from Whitman College and an MPhil in Development Studies from Oxford University, where she studied as a Rhodes Scholar. From 2007 to 2009, she worked on state fiscal policy as a research associate at the Iowa Policy Project.
