Brain Focus Solutions also provides the exciting researched based modality of Interactive Metronome (IM) training for both pediatrics and adults. It has been shown to be effective in numerous studies related to improving student learning. It has been particularly focused on students having a variety of diagnoses such as, ADHD, Autism, ASD, Emotional/Behavioral disorders. In the adult realm, current research documents improved symptoms in Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Tramatic Brain Injury, Stroke, and performance ehancement in athletes. The culmination of more than 27 years experience as a Special Education teacher for Palm Beach County School District, has led to this private practice, which allows more focus, personalization, and individualized attention for the student/client. As a Certified Interactive Metronome Trainer, my clients will be able to receive the IM training modality to address and improve issues ranging from attention/focus, motor planning/sequencing, mental timing/memory to behavior, impulsivity, coordination, and balance. They will benefit from my skills and experience and become more capable and competent to navigate the world. Additionally, as an IM-Home Certified Provider, once the initial training phase is complete, training can be continued at home through the IM Home Program and e-Clinic. This program is designed for those with long term training needs, those who may have challenges traveling, or perhaps would prefer to train more often or on a more flexible schedule. Training plans can be developed and supervised through my office, to continue on-going training for students/clients in the comfort of their home. Florida Dance Magic is a West Coast Swing Dance Event providing a long weekend of social dancing and competition. and has over the last eight years, has enchanted many dancers from around the world! From Australia to California, from France and the United Kingdom to Hungary, dancers have come to enjoy the opportunity to visit South Florida. In 2015 we moved Miami Dance Magic out of Miami to Jupiter, FL and we changed the name to Florida Dance Magic. Expect changes and improvements each year to refine and enhance your experience at our event. Florida Dance Magic happens annually on the 3rd weekend of July, Watch our website for changes and updates as we continue to plan a fabulous week around the competition weekend. With over 27 years in Special Education, I have worked with pre-k through high school age children with a variety of special needs. These include children with Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Mild thru Severe/Profound Intellectually Disabled, as well as children with Physical and Multiple Disabilities. I coached and participated in Special Olympics for several years in Palm Beach County and received The William T Dwyer Excellence in Education Award as nominee in the category of Special Education from the The Economic Council of Palm Beach County in 1988.
