I’m first and foremost an embroidery and textile artist who loves working with fabric and thread to create fun, self-titled ‘Stitchscapes’. In the last few years I’ve turned my passion into a small business designing and creating embroidery kits for sale online, at craft fairs and in stockist shops. I love teaching others and run workshops on embroidery skills and promoting my own style of embroidery, as well as creating video tutorials when I can. All aspects of the business are done by me; from organising my own accounts, designing promotional material on Photoshop, maintaining several social media accounts, blogging and updating my own website, purchasing, designing, compiling materials, photography, packaging and posting! Customer queries are answered either on email or on social media, with world wide customers and physical highstreet stockists.

Head Office job overseeing orders for multiple stores. Requires strong computer skills working with specialised systems to generate orders, load products, manage products and create mass price changes for sale periods. Spreadsheets also built in Excel with some basic formulas. Other job requirements include chasing orders and interacting with accounts and website teams, researching products, checking discontinued items, running reports and being the first contact for stock keepers, supplier queries and store staff queries. Often a fast paced job that requires the ability to work under pressure and constrained time frames.

Furnishing Office Administrator: Managing the office, arranging appointments for HSC’s, liasing with fitters and customers, compiling and amending estimates, working the till and various computer and till systems, managing the workroom diary and stock, preparing jobs for the workroom, placing orders for the store, chasing orders, handling complaints and troubleshooting, covering the sales floor when required, serving customers and giving shop floor quotes. Required knowledge of soft furnishings in terms of trends, styles, calculations on meterage, feasibility of products and new products for the home.

Front of house sales person specialising and running the Ready Mades department. Required to chase up unrelieved orders, merchandise the sales area covered, answer customer queries and operate the till point.
