After more than two decades of working for prestigious communications firms, Beth founded Verity Communications, LLC. with the goal of supporting cause that align to her true principles, especially those of fundamental importance to society. Her areas of expertise include criminal justice, policing and education. Beth also serves as the director of communication at The Justice Collaboratory at Yale Law School, where she supports the communication of research toward a theory-driven, evidence-informed justice system. Over the course of her career, Beth has helped diverse philanthropies, associations, coalitions, nonprofits and corporations raise their organizational visibility and influence public policy through traditional and social media campaigns. She has also served as a media spokeswoman for several clients.While full-time at VOX Global, she led the education and non-profit practice groups and provided communications counsel and strategy surrounding today’s most pressing public policy challenges, including workforce development and post-secondary education attainment. Previously she spent six years at the Washington, DC office of Powell Tate/Weber Shandwick, where she focused on international and defense clients and led integrated communication campaigns that often included grassroots advocacy and the establishment and management of an association or coalition.Her work on behalf of international governments includes leading a media campaign to spur U.S. investment in El Salvador, serving on the day-to-day communication team for the Embassy of Colombia, and executing a communication campaign to reverse declining rubber glove sales in the U.S. on behalf of Malaysia’s rubber industry.Beth has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from George Washington University and has completed coursework toward a Master of Arts degree in International Communication at American University in Washington, DC.
