Managed all day-to-day operations of a suburban public library serving 19,000+ residents, including circulation, reference, youth services, and technical services; programming, outreach, and partnerships; scheduling and payroll, PR and marketing; capital and long-range planning; and collection development;Prepared, defended, and managed fiscal budget, which increased from $519,648 in FY13 to $1,037,402 in FY23;Researched, applied for, executed and evaluated grants: $7.4M MPLCP grant; $23,331 MOD ADA grant, $10,000 from UniBank, and $1,000 from Coalition for a Healthy Greater Worcester,;Manages 25,000+ sq. ft. facility, including capital projects, such as CPC funded restoration and preservation projects, managing a 90-year old building, and supervising a $16.6M library construction project; Supervised a staff of 20 people and 30-50 volunteers--navigated the COVID-19 pandemic with compassion and caution;Represented the Library in the community, performing outreach and initiating partnerships, and responding to patron feedback, issues, complaints, and compliments;Provided library services, including reference and reader's advisory for teens, adults and children on the public service desk as needed;Served as member of department head team in municipal government;Worked closely with the Board of Library Trustees to develop Library policy, and with Library team to set procedures and develop best practices for 21st century library operations;Worked closely with the Friends of the Library and Capital Campaign on programming, fundraising and advocacy;Implemented the 2011-2016 Long Range Plan, increasing attendance by 46%, programs by 206%, program attendance by 390%, circulation by 35%, digital items by 277% and reference questions by 205%.
